.......... Celestial Fire ..........
A rainbow of color intensifies the beaded surface of a black moon, with three-dimensional flames curling from behind. A border of Japanese cranes enhances the feeling of soaring into the sky.

An original design, accepted into the Museum of the American Quilters Society (MAQS) 2005 juried competition on embellishment. Free-flowing pewter, wood, and glass fish; beaded and knitted seaweeds, and a separate arch, pieced and quilted, form this unusual design.
51" wide x 54 high".
